Seven Acre Nurseries began operating in 1989 on the western side of the A417 (Faringdon Road), on a site formerly used for agriculture (and at one time as the football field, before which it was quarried land). It was run by Anna Moffatt between 1992 and 2020, joined by her husband Tony.
