All new development within the district is subject to CIL charges. A proportion of this charge (from development within the parish) is passed from the District Council to the Parish Council to invest in local infrastructure to support the needs of our growing community. CIL is used to fund the provision, improvement, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure; or anything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that new development places on the Parish.
The District Council publishes an annual infrastructure funding statement and monitoring reports for each parish: Community Infrastructure Levy or CIL – Spending. Stanford in the Vale Parish Council maintains our own list of priorities for CIL spending, which can be found below.
